Review of Born on the Fourth of July (1989) by Jackie C — 22 Jan 2012
One of the Best Movie I have seen in a very long time. Moving at the neck breaking speed, it's captivating, very charming, inspiring, exciting, and have had been beautifully crafted with dulcet and spurring music and songs.
This movie, tells a true story war through the eyes of a Vietnam war veteran Ron Kovic. Tom Cruise lays the part of Ron, and man He can Act! He played his part brilliantly. It was so strong, that every single emotion of his were in a plain fucking view. I saw it, and I felt it- How a young boy, who joined Marine only to become a man, and to get some honor, felt when he loses everything he had because of that fucking Vietnam war; How, he felt when he had to move around in chair, because the war made him paralyzed; How he felt when he was haunted by his nightmares consisting of evils he had done in the war; How he felt, when he found out that he could never be a man again; How he felt when he found out that his government sent him 14000 miles with loads of fucking lies into a war that was wrong from every single possible angle. I saw it, and I felt it too.
Now, To all those fucking dickhead who supports war should at least once, watch this movie, and understand one basic thing about War..which is..that It Destroys Lives. It never had, and never ever will bring any fucking peace. Bombing for peace, as we must have heard, is like fucking for virginity. It does not work.
