Oliver Stone focuses on the distorted mankind during the Vietnam War is his previous work "Platoon". Now he scrutinizes how Vietnam War tortures human soul and dignity from the eye of Ron Kovic, played by Tom Cruise.
From the plot it's very easy for us to remember The Deer Hunter, only Ron is more real and pathetic. The message behind is provocative, but it just drags a little bit too long on Ron's self destruction.
Although that is all right for a biography, it as a whole is not as great as Platoon.
