Review of Born into Brothels: Calcutta's Red Light Kids (2004) by Brian V — 21 Jun 2007
A documentary of a woman who gives cameras to the children of Calcutta prostitutes. These children otherwise would follow in their mothers footsteps unless someone intervenes and shows them a world outside the poverty and red-light district they were born into.
Not everyone makes it out but because of their photos, many opportunities for them do. Sad but it will open your eyes and make you want to take action for those little-known causes that are just as important as others.
