Review of Born into Brothels: Calcutta's Red Light Kids (2004) by Vanessa H — 04 Aug 2009
So very worth your time and attention. I couldn't get over how wise these children are, far beyond their years. They are all so bright! They have only had precious few moments living as carefree children.
It's like they came into the world as little adults. I'm surprised more attention hasn't been brought to the disturbing and sad situation in Calcutta. If only I could help these children, if there was something I could do.
.. The children captured my heart in a mere moment, and I have such admiration for the photographer trying to do all she can to help. What a poignant documentary this is.
