Trying to wrap your head around this movie while watching it will require digging through that old, dusty trunk in your dimly lit attic every 12 seconds searching for a metaphor. Or, you can sit back and enjoy the disturbing, but curious, ride Borgman takes you on (think "It's A Small World" at Disney but set only in the Netherlands and all the dolls are underwater, upside-down and their heads cast in cement) then Google the analysis later.
