Review of Borgman (2013) by Robert B — 19 Sep 2015
For fans of horror, mystery, and the just downright odd/unusual structure of film and story arcs, Borgman is a huanting tale that digs its self deep into your memory long after the credits role, and yes, just as in the film, Borgman will occasionally surface in your nightmares - or perhaps he'll come squat in your home without your refusal or knowledge of his end-game.
Borman is a film for those who want something different, but don't mind investing some actual cinematic appreciation that is on full display. Things are constantly and rapidly evolving into a spider-web of confusion and mania. Before you think you know the twist or ending, you've already been duped - try not to take it personally. It happens to all who see it, and the 'dupe' is quite original and amazing. (Warning: will leave viewers begging for answers that only lead to more questions, so this film may or may not be for you.).
