Review of Bordertown (2007) by Douglas B — 03 Feb 2008
A difficult to watch, but compelling drama based on true events, Jennifer Lopez once again shows her ability to act in a believable and appealing way. Not surprising that this film did not get generally released in North America, based I am sure in part due to it's anti-NAFTA message.
That only serves to reinforce the message that business, politics and the almighty dollar rule and poor female workers do not matter. Kudos for creating a film that gets the message out that our society is not as ideal as it seems.
