Review of Borat Subsequent Moviefilm: Delivery of Prodigious Bribe to American Regime for Make Benefit Once Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan (2020) by Bertobellamy — 29 Oct 2020
Borat is a funny film, but also very sad. As dressing up as a plethora of cliche characters, Sacha Baron Cohen brings up the worst aspects of a messed up way of thinking. Sure, some moments may too obvious with its staging, but the laughs don't stop.
Maria Bakalova shines as Borat's daughter. Speaking of that, the father-daughter subplot brings a new dimension to the beloved protagonist.
