Review of Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan (2006) by Clancyw. — 21 Feb 2007
Perhaps I saw a different movie than the critics did. The movie I went to was in no way outrageous or funny or satiric. The movie I saw was mind-numbingly derivitive and only funny for a collective 7 minutes.
I'll give this a three simply for the cringeability of the first part of the rodeo segment (the 'national anthem' wasn't funny at all) [1 point]; the gun purchase [1 point]; and the nude wrestling and ensuing nude chase [1 point].
That's it. Youtube those parts and you'll have seen the entirety of the movie's funny.
