Review of Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan (2006) by Duncecap — 18 Nov 2006
This isn't art nor comedy. It is a crude and disgusting misuse of the arts. The fact that the star is himself a JEW doesn't give him the right to be antisemitc, against gays, femininists, politicians and portray American's as idiotic juvenile racist hate mongers for the sake of comedy.
And for the American critics to embrace this moron and compare this work to Gone With The Wind is a mockery of the Hollywood film industry. This is an awful film that grows old quickly and runs out of steam leaving its audience feeling quite uncomfortable; except for those teenagers that enjoy cruelty to others and bathroom humor.
Avoid.
