Review of Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan (2006) by Karan N — 14 May 2012
It didn't work for me. Despite it's insane bravado and willingness to cross every line imaginable and offend everyone, it's uneven and clumsy and often quite repulsive and all it's subversive 'satirical comedy' comes across more as black-hearted and seems like Cohen is pushing buttons just for the sake of it instead of trying to prove a point.
