Review of Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan (2006) by Nash A — 13 Jun 2012
Borat succeeds on every level that it tries to succeed on. Although it was offensive, I never felt offended in any way. Although there are allusions to cameos by professional actors, I always felt like I was watching a real documentary.
Although I knew that Borat was a character and not a real Middle-Eastern guy, I didn't question his nationality for a second. Borat is by far the best of Sacha Baron Cohen's movies that I have seen thus far.
Behind "This is Spinal Tap," I would have to say that "Borat" is one of the best mockumentaries that I have seen. I would recommend this to anyone that is a fan of offensive/racist humor, but more imporantly anyone that it a fan of comedy!
