Review of Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan (2006) by Henry T — 31 Jul 2013
For schlock comedy, there is no better. Its semi-unscripted mocumentary style won it an Oscar nomination, quite some achievement, from the man who brought you Ali-G. Because of the presentation its hard to compare it with other comedies.
Is it a good film, maybe, it's hard to tell to tell. Is it funny? Undoubtedly. Its audacious, shocking, and ultimately, hilarious. It's what you were expecting and so much more.
