Review of Boot Camp (2008) by Ante P — 11 Aug 2009
Surprisingly solid DTV flick about a boot camp in Fiji (which is more like a concentration camp than a 'rehabilitation program'). It's shocking that these boot camps really exist and that thousands teenegers are subjected to humiliation and abuse every day.
In the hands of a lesser director (such as Uwe Boll), this would be an exploitation movie, but Duguay focused on the psychological aspect rather than the thrills, which is commendable, but it must be said that the movie could have been a bit edgier.
Mila Kunis and Peter Stormare are very good, while the rest of the cast is forgettable.
