Review of Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2 (2000) by Mike M — 04 Feb 2009

The first half hour is quite intriguing, it's characters where well rounded. but the last hour is traumatic, vile and incredibly frustrating. Kim Director was engaging as your usual, lovable gothtard and Erica Leerhsen made for a wonderful schizophrenic loony.

But other than that, most of the characters, became tiresome. The ending is frustrating as Nothing is explained. Technically the film is quite proficient, having wonderful production values and a great soundtrack, it's a real shame that the film isn't all that scary.

For a film called Blair witch 2 there was a distinct lack of actual Blair witch. And why was the film called 'Book of Shadows' ...anyone ...please?
