The audience laughed at the jokes during teh showing of the movie that I went to. What else can anyone ask of a movie. This is unlike most American comedies in during showings of which, teh audience sits silent.

This is a funny movie . There is an underlying theme teh old people and especailly older woem are not decripti and helpless. The sexulal content of teh movie stands in for that. The Diane Keaton character rebels against the wishes of her daughters who are trying to force her from her home into a dotage living in the refurbished basement of one of their homes.

Candice Bergen plays a federal judge. Jane Fonda plays a hotel owner. And Mary Steenbergen plays a successful chef with her own restaurant. The theme of the capability of older women is well played out in the movie.
