Review of Book Club (2018) by Dave R — 22 May 2018

So let's see, I'm not over 60, not a woman, don't like wine and have never been part of a book club. So maybe that is why I really didn't like Book Club whatsoever. Now I was one of maybe four guys in the audience, and we all seemed to have this look of dread as the movie was about to begin.

First off, a book club that is just now reading "50 Shades of Grey?" Then the clichés just keep coming over and over about women and their bodies, and men looking for younger women and adult children who over reach with their parents.

I don't mind simple stories, but the writing here was so vanilla it just bored me. I'd say you have a better chance of liking this if you are a woman, and a little more mature, but I'd say stay away all together.
