Review of Book Club (2018) by Sharon W — 27 May 2018
Saw this with family on Sunday and have to say I really enjoyed it. I think it was a movie with a message that mattered less than the fun it was having while telling it's story. That (seemingly) self-awareness is commendable.
I was also surprised to find I could relate to certain aspects of the movie's characters and their respective arcs. I was quite a bit younger than the general crowd I saw around me.
That says to me there is a lot more to this movie than the Tomatometer is reflecting.
