Review of Book Club (2018) by Jluis_001 — 11 Jul 2018
This is the kind of film that makes me hate my rules about finishing films regardless of their quality. To omit an opinion you must see the finished product, otherwise your opinion has no basis or validity.
Why do I say this? It's not because this film is a monumental failure because I don't think it is one, but it simply because it doesn't offer anything for a person like me and I doubt that it will offer something substantial to anyone who already has a broad path in romantic comedies.
The story is as empty as it is limited and it's only because of the aptitude of its veteran cast that achieves a certain degree of quality that doesn't help at all to avoid its inevitable and immediate oblivion.
