Review of Boogie Nights (1997) by Daniel R — 27 Sep 2011
Paul Thomas Anderson's 2nd feature is the movie that made him big. It's almost a masterpiece. It's heavily influenced by Martin Scorsese, especially in its style and construction. It's like 'GoodFellas' without the narration and instead of it being about gangsters, it's about the porn industry, with the rise and fall of a teenage Mark Wahlberg.
Great cast, brilliant direction, and is extremely funny.
