Review of Boogie Nights (1997) by Dave L — 13 Aug 2010
Paul Thomas Anderson's film centers on the porn industry in the 1970s and also revels in the cultural change between the 70s and 80s. The profane movie has surprisingly limited sex scenes. Anderson is interested in the workers of this industry who have the same ambitions as major movie stars- fame, ambition, pride, greed, etc.
His film looks no holds barred into the personalities, often comically, involved in this industry.
