Boogie Nights features spectacular performances from its cast and is a perfect satire of the porn industry that also reveals its horrors and disturbances along the way. It comes off as quite shocking and weird due to the unrestrained direction, close to the point it's hard to watch, but the clever script is strengthened by the actors' commitment and that helps to make it enjoyable.
