Review of Boogie Nights (1997) by Blake H — 14 Jan 2013
One of the greatest films of the 90s. You can really sense Anderson tributing Scorsese's "GoodFellas" and "Casino", while forming him own style. Provocative and involving character study.
It's full of extraordinary directing, well written dialogue, subtle storytelling and strong characters. It's a low class subject made in a high class way. A masterpiece of 90s filmmaking and endlessly re-watchable.
