Darkly satisfying sleazy exploration of the then ignored under belly of porn. It's so well written and real you cannot help but care for these misfits. Mark Wahlberg whom I never cared for as a person or an actor but his performance here is stunning.
How he captures the naiveté of innocence and the downfall of egoism. I like Andersons style but I do think his movies meander, failing to feel consistently valid in their runtime.
