Review of Boogie Man: The Lee Atwater Story (2008) by Matthew H — 13 May 2010
This movie helped me catch up on the previous generation. Just when you think Darth Vader is as bad as it gets, you see that he serves the Emperor. Karl Rove is a tool that was shaped by Lee Atwater. Lee to politics to a new level.
It doesn't matter what is said, do whatever it takes to win. Usually that involves fear. Induce that fear anyway you can. The more focused the better. The very fact that Lee dies of a brain tumor at the end of movie proves that God does exist in the world.
The fact that he sent Willie Horton a letter asking for his forgiveness shows compassion and his conversion to Christianity. The fact that his Bible was unopened and still in the original plastic wrap shows he was complete and absolute bull shiznit to the bitter end!
