Review of Boogeyman 3 (2008) by Jason C — 06 Jan 2009
An interesting final part to the trilogy. I get the feeling that Gary Jones is a great fan of A Nightmare On Elm Street as this movie could easily be another Freddy movie. It is however, not a bad movie and after seeing The Boogeman 2 is a far better watch.
The origionalBoogeyman movie was a really good concept and actually scared an old friend of mine to the point of checking under his bed before going to sleep (sorry deaf boy, had to be said). The acting was good and the cast was well put together.
The Boogeyman 2 went a long way to ruining the goodwork that was done by the origional film. It does have some good death scenes in it but thats as good as it gets as to be fair the Boogeyman in this film is a cowardly guy who slashes up people to "help them".
The third movie is make to the origional ghost like Boogeyman, with the Boogeyman actually being an evil enterty. The gore is at a new high as far as he trilogy goes and it pays homage to some clasic movies with blood from the roof and walls bleeding. It also has a part for an English actress in Nkki Sanderson, from Corrie.
Over all these are a fun group of films and I would say check them out, if you can't find the second movie anywhere don't be too disheartened as the first and third are good enough on their own.
7/10.
