Ok, difficult one this. Raimi produces and has a Raimi style so good point. Massive holes in the plot - negative. The boogeyman is genuinely creepy - positive. Not enough background to the Boogeyman myth / understanding of where came from or why.
Sometimes its better not to have an explanation but it really could have benefited in this case. A decent enough horror b movie but not enough in it to warrant a good rating.
