Review of Boogeyman 2 (2007) by Lue B — 18 Jan 2008
I was one of the few people that I know who will say aloud that they enjoyed the original "Boogeyman" so of course I was going to watch the direct to video sequel. Direct to video sequels to most movies prove to be horrendous -- although I didn't mind "Return to House on Haunted Hill" that much -- but I actually enjoyed this film.
Even though it didn't have much to do with the original -- it is brought up towards the end of the film -- I feel it stood out as it's own film. I enjoyed the heavy gore factor in this one -- there is some pretty interesting and enjoyable kills -- and a twist at the end that I honestly didn't see coming.
And it's always a pleasure to see Tobin Bell in a role that's not Jigsaw -- even if I felt he's wasted here as the lead doctor at the hospital.
All in all not a bad film for rental.
