Review of Bonnie and Clyde (1967) by Des S — 29 Dec 2013
A true classic American film. From the brilliant script by Robert Benton and David Newman (with uncredited work by Robert Towne) to the French new wave influenced direction by Arthur Penn to the gorgeous photography by Burnett Guffey to the beautifully bleak production design by Dean Tavoularis, the film does not have a false note.
The film is also greatly aided by a top notch cast, led by Beatty and Dunaway.
