Review of Bonnie and Clyde (1967) by James B — 20 Aug 2008
A very enjoyable gangster film, with strong performances by Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway. The action sequences were revolutionary, powerful and intense. Estelle Parsons character really annoyed me and I was so disappointed that she wasn't killed off - I can't believe that she actually won an Academy Award for that performance.
The film excellent portrays the obsession that Bonnie and Clyde had for criminality - 'We rob banks' and the many struggles along the way. This film is extremely worthy of being labelled a classic.
And Gene Wilder steals the film in his near-cameo appearance.
