Review of Bonnie and Clyde (1967) by Leighton T — 26 Aug 2009
A rip-roaring piece of entertainment that lives and dies (pun intented) by the success of the two leads with Beatty and Dunaway delivering terrific, tough-as-nails performances. I feel it is slightly overrated in its terms of being a "great film," and is more remembered for its importance of envelope pushing.
What is great about it though is that the film is tight and fast and doesn't concentrate on anything it doesn't need to; the brilliant editing and cinematography add to this. As well, Hackman, Parsons and Pollard are all great in supporting roles.
