Review of Bonnie and Clyde (1967) by Burt M — 23 Jan 2010
Much better than I expected. Very simple, fairly timed and good costumes are good side dishes to the main one : Warren Beatty & Faye Dunaway - gorgeous couple (ok, they could've used a little more chemistry but that's fine) with a real gangsta-chic feeling.
The only bad thing about it is that they die in the end. But that's the way things are meant to roll, right?(Or at least, what we wanted, deeply: the good folks beating the bad ones. The thing is, in 1930's America, a really DEPRESSED-in all means- America is the scenario for the concepts of what's good and what's bad to be turned around .
There's no more Mr. Right American and Mr. Bad Boy of the US - in the middle of this twisted land characters such as Bonnie & Clyde rise. The ending of this story, perhaps, is unfair. We'll most likely see similar stories soon, as the crisis persists on corrupting and revealing what women and men are, in essence.
Then, we'll see different endings and each will judge what'd be best.
