Review of Bonnie and Clyde (1967) by Steven P — 11 Apr 2010
Wow! What an amazing work of art. Arthur Penn is a brilliant director who can work with a well-written script and an all-star cast. First, the leads. Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway give two of the best performances of all time.
Gene Hackman, Michael J. Pollard, and Estelle Parsons are all great in their parts. Even Gene Wilder, who has a brief part shows what he can do with any part he gets. I also give kudos to the sets, costume design, cinematography, editing, and sound effects.
I think this should have swept the Oscars when it came out.
