Review of Bonnie and Clyde (1967) by Orlando N — 30 Jan 2011
A classic gangster film to say the least! It is hard to believe that Beatty had to really convince Warner Bros. to make this film, but then again he did not have as much influence back then as he does in Hollywood today.
This works not only as a gangster film, but also as a romance since it centers on the unusual relationship between the two title characters, which made the two lead actors household names after being released.
Great chase and heist sequences all throughout the film which is a bit surprising since it was made in the 1960's.Clearly the most lasting aspects of the film are the performances, which are great regarding the supporting roles.
Beatty and Dunaway steal the show however as the most infamous crime duo in American history: Bonnie and Clyde.
