Review of Bones (2001) by Anna B — 11 Feb 2011
This movie is so bad, it's a joy to watch. The plot is about a murdered street hustler named Jimmy Bones, played by Snoop Dogg, who was killed in the 1970's but returns from the dead to take vengance on his killers and anyone who comes in his way.
It's awful and silly, but scenes such as a dog vomiting maggots on a person to a crooked cop with obviously bad make-up as his double chin and a fat voice to boot make this movie better. I don't think this movie was meant to be taken seriously.
If it was, then that adds to it's appeal. It's awful, a movie where people are killed and their blood shoots silhouettes up on the wall. A movie with one dimensional characters who know they are potential victims.
This is throwback to blaxploitation horror.
