-Bone Tomahawk falls into a very interesting category, horror-western. A genre that you don't see to often, but Bone Tomahawk is an example of why those two genres fit very well together. The performances from the for main actors are very strong. All 4 characters have equal grounds when it comes to character development. As the movie went along, I found myself rooting for these characters to make it out of the situation. The use of subtlety in the certain scenes in the first two acts is very well handled that helps the third act payoff. The one major negative is that it is a slow burn movie. There are certain scenes that could have been cut, particularly one involving a poem. For some this can be a turn off, but the constant build up towards the end is worth it. Writer/Director S. Craig Zahlar is a person that people should keep an eye one. I can see Bone Tomahawk flying under the radar and becoming an underrated movie, but this shouldn't happen. If you have a theater near you that is showing it, see it, or by the Blu-ray. This is one of the best smaller release movies to come out in 2015.
