With this and hateful 8 it's been a good year for kurt russell westerns, this one is much more simple and direct, 4 men go on a rescue mission, it features great performances from everyone in the cast, and is filled with several classic character actors in smaller roles, I'm surprised this couldn't find a theatrical release, it is slow moving, but never boring, but once it does get to the end, it does get pretty damn brutal, a very impressive job for a first time director and I hope to see more from him.
