Review of Bone Tomahawk (2015) by David Y — 27 Oct 2015
Bone Tomahawk follows four men from a small town who set out to find three missing people. A cannibal tribe has taken them after their burial grounds were tampered with. Kurt Russel and his amazing moustache go head to head with a cannibal tribe. Should I say any more?
First off, this film is really slow. Do not go into this movie thinking that you are going to see an action-packed movie starring Kurt Russel. But, when the action does come, it is extremely intense and immensely gory. Usually I like over the top stuff like this. But, the final act of this film is so gory, it just doesn't fit in with the first hour and half. The performances and intensity make up for the final act that just didn't fit into the rest of the film.
Overall I think that Bone Tomahawk is an awesome, unique ride unlike any other I've ever seen. Bone Tomahawk is destined to be an amazing cult classic.
