Review of Bolt (1995) by Adam M. F — 29 Sep 2010
Let's see... a Disney film about a talking dog where the lead vocal "talents" are Miley Cyrus and John Travolta. It's a damn shame that the film works, because it would have been a very easy target.
It looks nice, it's animated well, and it's a good concept - a dog actor finds himself in a Truman Show situation. Of course this is resolved with formula, formula, formula, but it's regulated and well edited.
There should be no surprise that it made bank. Oh, and Susie Essman as a streetwise cat - inspired.
