Review of Bolt (1995) by Francis John V — 02 Sep 2012
Fairly mediocre Disney effort, straying from their comfort zone, this is more like one of those endless Dreamworks turkeys with characters and situations that you just don't care about. Travolta's default setting is bland, and he plays the dog that way.
The opening tease is designed to fool us and goes on far too long, without actually giving us a real sense of the mechanics of this universe they have created, and then it becomes a fairly standard road trip (actually the most enjoyable bit).
So so.
