Review of Bohemian Rhapsody (2018) by Naomi L — 03 Jan 2019

We loved this movie so much we went out and bought Queen's greatest hits CD and have listened to it everyday since Christmas and we got tickets to their tour for our family this summer. I was a teenager during the 70's and didn't know much about Queen other than hearing their music on the radio. My friends and I listened mostly to funk and disco. Now since seeing the movie, my 18-year old, a millennial, is obsessed with Queen and their story--some of her high school friends have seen this movie 5 and 6 times. Any band that spans the generations as this one has is legendary. We don't care if the movie depicts an exact true life account of the band. The acting was amazing, we felt drawn to the personalities so much so that we now feel a pang of sadness when we hear a Queen song knowing the lead is no longer with us, and we'll buy the DVD when it comes out.
