Review of Bohemian Rhapsody (2018) by Liz G — 30 Dec 2018
Incredible film. Iï¿ 1/2 1/2 1/2 1/2(TM)ve seen it SIX times, & found myself laughing & crying every time. Remi Malek should win the Best Actor award. He perfectly captures Freddie Mercuryï¿ 1/2 1/2 1/2 1/2(TM)s warm, wildly talented, adventurous spirit.
Whoever cast the band should win an award. Incredible. Each actor portrayed the band members amazingly. I didnï¿ 1/2 1/2 1/2 1/2(TM)t think I could love Queen more, but after this movie, I did.
While I understand the timeline, story, arenï¿ 1/2 1/2 1/2 1/2(TM)t totally in line with reality, itï¿ 1/2 1/2 1/2 1/2(TM)s a biopic- not a documentary...so I wasnï¿ 1/2 1/2 1/2 1/2(TM)t bothered.
What this epic film did is highlighted Freddieï¿ 1/2 1/2 1/2 1/2(TM)s mind-blowing talent, & the genius of the entire band, in creating some of the best music (& live performances) that ever will exist.
In all but a couple of the six showings, the entire theater clapped at the end. Iï¿ 1/2 1/2 1/2 1/2(TM)m baffled as to why the critics are so out of touch with what the majority of viewers experienced in this musical, biopic masterpiece!
