This movie posits that Freddie Mercury got HIV from staring longingly at male extras. Visually slick, this is a by the numbers biopic that refuses to take any real risks. Apparently the band signed off on this version, which is why this was so bland.
Bryan Singer continues to make movies for stupid people. Freddie Mercury deserved better than this.
