I wouldn't consider myself a Queen fan, but Rami Malek gives one of the strongest acting performances I've seen in my 48 years of life - wow! While some parts of the movie made me uncomfortable, I think it strikes a balance of telling a story "based" on a true story that even the band members seem to appreciate.
Given all of the bad movies of 2018, this stands out as the year's best and anything short of a best actor for Rami Malek in the Golden Globes and Oscars would be an outrage. I'd be very disappointed to not see it earn best picture as well given what it is up against.
