Review of Bohemian Rhapsody (2018) by Celeste Z — 18 Nov 2018
I loved the theatrical sequence from the transition of Queenâ(TM)s early years and to the sub-genres they played around with, essentially, and unknowingly becoming the iconic music of the world. The visiblity of HIV/AIDS was humanizing because although someone as godly as Freddie Mercury, becoming ill, was something that changed his life for the better of humanity; artistically and an intimate touch back with his family and beginnings.
The sense of family is something sacred in this film that will settle in the emotions as you become attached to the characters.. I am not a cinematographer or a scholar of the finest film academy nor someone with the highest IQ, but I am an immigrant child that was terribly bullied but lured by music with the orchestra and classic rock records my mother collected, at an early age.
Freddie Mercury was and will continue to be an icon I can relate to, alongside the newer generations that could relate.
