Review of Bohemian Rhapsody (2018) by Grainne R — 09 Nov 2018

I love Queen and so was really looking forward to seeing this - However I cannot express how disappointed I was! All of the main actors were great (except Ben Hardy, who was a poor choice for Roger Taylor), however the script was appalling!! Cheesy, overblown, unrealistic - it had me cringing, I couldny watch parts it was so awful.

If you wanted to know anything about the four characters in Queen forget it, especially Freddie. For such a creative, flamboyant, interesting human being the filmmakers have done an amazing job at portraying him as a bland, pathetic, victim - this film does Freddie no justice at all.

Iyes not sure what Brian May and Roger Taylor were hoping to achieve but this is not a fitting tribute. Its like a bad TV movie even channel 5 would bother with. Thank god for the great music and the cats, the only good things about this film.

Now can someone start writing a decent script please and give Sacha Baron Cohen a call.
