Review of Bohemian Rhapsody (2018) by Ricca S — 08 Nov 2018
I can see that this movie has mixed reviews from critics. But just exactly like Queen during their height of popularity, they weren't well received by the media/press despite topping the charts and being loved by the public.
For Freddie, according to his interviews, he always proceeded with what he wanted to do. It wasn't up to the media to tell if he failed a project or not. It was up to the people. This movie is for fans and viewers who want to know a little more about Queen based on the living band members' perspective which is a real privilege.
People have to remember that considering the 2-hour movie limitation, the filmmakers were able to provide a cohesive, compact, and most of all, a very entertaining movie with characters that have an uncanny resemblance and mannerisms to the actual band members.
Overall, the movie conveys a lot of passion, acceptance, integrity, and humanity. A must-see movie!
