Review of Bohemian Rhapsody (2018) by Diego V — 04 Nov 2018
The thing is that advertised as a biopic, every fact picking anal critic shall say that facts were sacrificed for entertainment. IT. IS. A. MOVIE. Get over yourselves. As a movie, it astoundingly succeeds at being an emotional view of the life, struggle and success of Freddie Mercury and Queen.
Rami Malek shines, and will undoubtedly get an academy nomination nod for his performance. It was really hard to see (or hear), where Rami ended and Freddie began. The comic relief comes in gloriously tiny doses by the relationship among the bandmembers.
I cried about 3 times and clapped like an idiot at the credits. Go see this movie and enjoy it.
