Just like Queen had a legacy of short-sighted reviewers give negative reviews, the same is true with this film. "Bohemian Rhapsody" not only pays homage to Mercury, but does an impressive job of introducing us to the friends that were the bandmates in his shadow.
It works, at every corner, to help the audience feel as if they are there for every detail of Queen from its origins, rise to fame, perils of success, and dramatic turns.
