Review of Bohemian Rhapsody (2018) by Leo R — 04 Nov 2018
This movie was far better than critics say. Rami Malek had an INCREDIBLE presence throughout the movie. He was dashing, talented, excited, and a total diva. I loved the way he portrayed Freddie. I was massively impressed with the use of the songs in this movie, the way Rami portrayed an energetic performing powerhouse, and the hilarious yet inspiring studio sessions.
What I loved most was the ending. Wrapping it up with the dazzling LiveAid concert was not only a great creative call, but it was also a great moral one. I imagined they would've depicted Freddie's sickness much like Straight Outta Compton, but they avoided the route of bringing sickness to the screen. Good on them! I'd see it again in a heartbeat!
